RIVA, Turkey (April 13, 2024) – The U.S. Under-16 Women’s National Team made it two wins in two games at the eight-nation UEFA Friendship Tournament in Riva, Turkey, downing Vietnam, 8-0, on three goals from forward Ella Kral, two from forward Ashlyn Anderson and one each from forward Jordan Hill, midfielder Addison Feldman and midfielder Charlee Siria.

With six points from two matches, the USA heads into its April 16 Group A finale against Botswana. A win would earn the USA a place in the championship game on April 18 against the winner of Group B, which features Uganda, China, Wales and Paraguay. The group finale will be the first-ever match against Botswana for any U.S. Women’s National Team.

In a match that saw the USA out-shoot Vietnam 22-1, the USA started early with a 12th minute shot from Hill that flew into the upper right corner. The USA scored two more before the half via a header from Feldman, who scored in her second straight match, and Anderson, who would also tally on the other side of halftime to make it 4-0.

Siria made it 5-0 in the 61st minute and then Kral went on a rampage, scoring in the 63rd, 74th and 83rd minutes to complete her hat trick.

Midfielder Scottie Antonucci assisted on the first two goals while midfielder Rylie Morse set up the third and eighth goals. Midfielder Jaiden Rodriguez, who scored in the opening game win over Turkey, assisted on the fifth and seventh goals.
